Courtney wanted to make banana bread from scratch. I never have, but I told her she could try it. She looked thru a stack of cookbooks and picked a recipe. She made it herself, no help from mom. After it came out of the oven, she asked Whitley if she wanted to be her

That darn Courtney. I'll tell you what.
But you didn't say if the bread was edible........ Banana Bread has always been a favorite of my sons, and now my grandkids. The recipe I use is very old, from my 1st MIL who was a good German hausfrau. I found your blog from Julaine, I am just really getting into Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors, my "boss" is Shelly from Cedar Canyon Textiles - (Paintstiks) I am having fun learning all sorts of new things outside of my normal comfort zone. See you again soon.
I use Martha Stewart's recipe for banana bread with sour cream in it- it always turns out light and perfect- previous to this recipe my banana bread was sticky, gooey and yuck in the center! Checkout her website for it. About the fabric paper- I was planning on gluing it and leaving it outside to dry but now it has rained for 2 days- icy cold rain. I am leaving on Monday and going home. I might get brave and make it and put it in the oven to dry- except the oven is gas and hates me and I am a bit concerned...my parents already think I am the one who is crazy, after seeing my dolls and collages...*sigh* click, click, there's no place like home...
